The cost of living in TRNC in 2014

According to Northern Cyprus newspaper Cyprus Today, the cost of living in the country increased by 10.22% compared to last year, while the inflation rate reached 40%. Minimum wage increased from 1,415 to 1,560 TL.

The cost of water and electricity:
Lefkosa :
Water (the first 10 tons ) - 2.15 TL per ton
Kyrenia
Water (the first 10 tons ) - 2 TL per ton
Famagusta:
Water (the first 15 tons ) - 1.4 TL per ton
Electricity - 0.45 TL per kW.

Registration of visas (residence permit, work visa, health test)
Residence permit - 227 TL
Work permit– 278 TL
Health test for residence permit and work permit - 1355 TL

Vehicle tax:
Vehicle taxes are determined by the weight of the car
Up to 1016 kg - 0.19 TL per kilogram
1017-1270 kg - 0.32 TL per kilogram
1271-1524 kg - 0.79 TL per kilogram
1525 and more - 1.1 TL per kilo

Driving license:
2 years - 185 TL
3 years - 246 TL
5 years - 370 TL
10 years - 615 TL
