Near East University is planning to open a new branch in Kyrenia.


 Universities’ progress

Near East University, which is located in the capital of Northern Cyprus, Lefkosa (Nicosia), is planning to open a new branch in Kyrenia. Name of the branch was registered as "University of Kyrenia." It is known that the branch is opened for the faculty of marine research and is only at project stage.

Another well-known University of North Cyprus, Girne American University, signed a cooperation protocol with Istambul Bilim University and Nightingale Hospital, to improve learning in the field of medicine and health. Health complex will be built in Karaoglanoglu, near the campus of the institution. Project’s cost is estimated at 160 million Euros. The wellness center, which also will include a home for the elderly, will be completed within three years.
