The Çatalköy-Esentepe Municipality is implementing a significant project to support stray animals, following the principles of social municipal governance. Under the initiative of Mayor Ceyhun Kırok, food waste from hotels will be repurposed into nutritious and beneficial meals for stray cats and dogs.
A dedicated facility will process food leftovers from hotel kitchens, ensuring they are safe and suitable for animal consumption. This project not only helps reduce food waste but also provides stray animals with essential nutrition, improving their quality of life. Additionally, the initiative highlights the importance of ecological responsibility and the efficient use of natural resources.
Mayor Ceyhun Kırok emphasized that this project reflects a commitment to social responsibility and respect for all living beings. He noted that providing regular and healthy food for stray animals will contribute to a more livable urban environment while also raising public awareness about humane treatment towards animals.
Furthermore, the municipality is promoting sustainable consumption practices. A symbolic sign reading "Reduce consumption FOR A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE, FOR OUR BEES!" serves as a reminder of the importance of recycling and resource reuse. As part of the initiative, protein mass is added to the animal feed, enhancing its nutritional value.
The Çatalköy-Esentepe Municipality expresses its gratitude to everyone who has contributed to this meaningful project and reaffirms its commitment to further improving the living conditions of stray animals.
